Manatee and Sarasota Counties are located on the West Coast of Florida. Collectively the counties are approximately 1340 square miles and extend west from rustic ranch land to the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. With more than 185 miles of gulf beaches, residents are minutes from of the most spectacular white sand beaches in the world.

The average year-round temperature is a pleasant 72 degrees; averaging 61.5 degrees in January and 80 degrees in August. The average annual rainfall is 60 inches.

The Manatee and Sarasota areas offer a diversity of neighborhoods to suit every taste and budget, each with a unique personality. Residents enjoy all the hospitality of a small town combined with the amenities and modern infrastructure of a large city.

Manatee County’s communities include: Anna Maria, Bradenton, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, Longboat Key and Palmetto.

The population of the Manatee/Sarasota bi-county area is slightly more than 600,000. While The Ringling Museum of Art and The Van Wezel and FSU Performing Arts Halls attract visitors from throughout the world. Our waters are perfect for boating enthusiasts. You can cruise, fish or enjoy day runs. Our bays, bayous and canals as well as the Gulf of Mexico and the Intra Coastal Waterway are warm all year extending the boating season for a full 12 months. Tennis enthusiasts have many public and private tennis complexes available, and Bradenton is the home of the World Class Bolettierri Tennis academy. Golfers have extensive public and private facilities available. Signature courses are being developed in the area by Paul Azinger and Tiger Woods. For baseball fans, Bradenton is the spring training home for the Pittsburgh Pirates while Sarasota hosts the Cincinnati Reds. St. Petersburg is the home of the Devil Rays while the NFL Buccaneers call Tampa home.
